I'm a designer interested in vanity. Where can I possibly purchase it.

Does the vanity come in 60" width? Love the marbled surface & front with 3 drawers underneath. Can't tell from the picture--is it floating? Thank you.

Hi nick. Thanks. Yes, i have come to that realisation after being told it by everyone i speak to! So looking at hedging or other ideas for the side fences then shrubs / plants / flowers for the main parts. I'd be interested innyour ideas. On the other side if the fence, if you mean the road side, the footpath is right up against the fence. I'd say the footpath is maybe 1.5m wide, maybe a bit more.

Have you thought about choosing furniture first? If not try that. The reason for that is your bed and other furniture such as dressers and wardrobes will take centre stage, so that should take priority. Perhaps there's a particular style or piece of art that inspires you and with that can get you started. Perhaps choose colour last as it can be something to complement all your furniture, carpet, window dressing etc. Don't forget to think about lighting, so important in a bedroom, soft bedside lamps for reading and relaxing and maybe a brighter central light for dressing, etc. Windows are important too. Too often they're neglected, if you're a light sleeper think about blackout backed curtains or blinds. And it's here and with rugs/ carpets, pillows and throws where you can really have a bit of fun. Perhaps an interesting colour and stylish pattern to spruce things up such as chevron or other geometric patterns. Look forward to seeing the room. Good luck!

Dear Éilíse Sullivan, the mahogany wardrobe looks like a great project! The image is too small for me to see the details of it; it looks like has glass/metal door at the top part and design details on the draws. If you send me a better quality image and with the door closed I can visualised it for you in any other colour you like if it helps. Replacing part of the furniture (glass) with solid panels covered in wall paper or fabric, using decoupage for the inside of the drawers or muted colours on the outside and brights on the inside ... are all possibility depending in which room you want to place it and what you are going to use it for. Are you going to do it for yourself, just for fun or to sell/present? I would paint the back panel in a darker colour, also the inside of the wardrobe part and all the horizontal and vertical straight lines to frame the different units: draws, 'open shelf' cabinet at the top and door. I would go for wall paper on the inside of the draws, something sympathetic with the darker tone on the back panel ... the handle can stay or be replaced (I need a closer look); they can really give a wist to the furniture if changed. For the choice of colours ... it really depend on where it goes and what you want to do with it. The room's images you posted are quite different in style. You could try to 'blend' the piece in to the room's design scheme by choosing complementary colours or go the opposite and bring in a bold statement. I like bold statements! Hello Houzz Ireland, We are currently renovating a 1960's build - so as you know, there is a lot of decisions to be made!! So it would be nice to get some gems of advice from the experts to help us through this daunting task. Areas where we would really like some inspiration for - small bathroom downstairs. I would really like to do something fun with this room and although small, I think it could work really well with some funky wallpaper or possibly tiles?! I'm just not sure what to do with it. Also - pulling a whole house together?! Where do we start? We have the bigger pieces of furniture but how do I know what nest of tables goes best with a suite? Or what accessories will bring a room together? I'm due a second baby in 2 weeks time so any help at this stage would be so amazing - to guide me on the right interior design path for our new house.
