Splash back tiles behind cooker
Comments (5)You can stay neutral but use different textures in the tiles. Glass mixed with ceramic or marble is good. I would put tile on the entire backsplash and make a great accent piece over the range. Change up the patterns also. It will add interest without adding too much color. If you want to be bolder, chose one or two colors in the tiles that you can live with or that you have in the rest of the house. That will pull your color scheme into the kitchen and make a cohesive look as you go throughout the house....See MoreNeed help for kitchen/living/dining area
Comments (8)Oh wow! Thanks everyone... So so much... I would never have seen some of the things that you have pinpointed. I have already got the cabinet and under cabinet lighting, it was turned off when I took the earlier shots. I totally get the suggestion to remove the cabinets etc near the window but would prefer not too just yet... I am back pocketing that for next year! I will add some items on top of the cabinets, and the artwork that you suggested too in the meantime. The window seat I had in mind was for the living room area, instead of the two seater. Would that look better than the two piece, with colourful cushions, and if so should I add a built I cabinet for the tv (right beside it) in the same painted wood colour as the window seat? Also should I put curtains either side of the window seat if I opt to go with that, or stick just with colourful roman blinds? I will look into fixtures for lights and have already started the fabric hunt for curtains/roman blinds/ cushions etc. Also, what colour would you recommend to accessorise the room with?...See MoreI need help with paint colour for my living room and kitchen walls
Comments (15)We just painted a color called "Latte" over the dark red walls in our place and we keep thinking that someone left the light on! It adds that much light to the place as the red was just sucking out any light in the place. Find a color you like more for that wall and repaint...and/or maybe add a ceramic tile backsplash? It will make it feel brighter in there immediately as you will get a lot of light reflection. I love the idea of sage green with your cabinets....See MoreKitchen colour inspiration needed
