Kitchen colour inspiration needed

Hi there,
If there is anyone who can offer suggestions on how to paint & accessorize, (basically redecorate) my kitchen/diner I would be so grateful. It's an L-shaped, south west facing room with large window, patio doors & one skylight. It's a galley kitchen with dining at one end & then a living/play area off the dining. Please have a look at the photos I have attached & I welcome any feedback.
The kitchen units are hi-gloss cream & the flooring throughout is cream porcelain tiles. The walls are currently painted milk white which is very cold.

10 years agoGreat space! A splash of color would really look nice.
I would suggest a bright colored, back painted glass just over the stove ... or you could extend.
Pick up the color from the back painted glass in art, accessories.

Comments (10)Hi Maria. It's a lovely kitchen and I must admit I like the white so would probably change the accessories. I would add a huge sunburst clock or mirror above the cabinets (can't work out if it's a clock or mirror above the fire). Add a statement light over the table. Try a coloured splashback behind the cabinets. Add some coloured stools. I would say paint the kitchen chairs but I can see they are good quality! If you do want to paint then either blues, violets or even a very soft grey if you add some coloured accesories. 10 years agoThe other walls, yes. Can also use stencil and have paint store match color to backsplash.

10 years agolast modified: 10 years agoA bit of color will get you far! Tiles or paint (pick a bathroom/exterior quality paint).
Here's some light orange. I also removed the hood's glass arch and replaced it with some white shelves (cut out around it).
