I found your house in your ideabook area. Usually I do not like to cut a house in half with painted trim, but I love this house I found. The inner windows R painted white but I'd paint all windows, sills, trim & band across house, that enchanting French-gray-green. The house in photo seems more buff than cream. Firstly -- what a lovely home! The classical styling is very nice. Regarding the door color vs. trim color -- how dark the tones are compared to each other is the first thing to consider in this case. If the tones are similar, it may look very coordinated. In other words, I would prefer a charcoal along with a medium / dark blue. Compare different tones to see what works best for you. The second thing I would consider is the undertone of the grey. It will look one way at your kitchen table in planning stages and another way entirely next to the yellow of the house and the blue of the door. If you can determine the undertone of the grey -- great! That may help you to choose the type of blue to work with. If you still are having troubles after that, consider a blue with some grey in it. Have a lovely time of it. Color is a great thing to play with.

Hi I have a dilemma... For a new build. I love sleek and modern and going for a high gloss kitchen with creams and nudes... From front door through to kitchen I want tiles I am thinking oak wooden floors so my question... What color interior doors do I choose? I love the look of the 2 panel white shaker door but are they a nightmare with kids and traffic and keeping clean? Also what color window frames would you suggest for this? Thanks a million
