West Facing garden, kitchen question

HI, I have a west facing garden, and an open plan living area at the back of the house. Its in the city so no side wall windows. There will be a big glass bifold door at the back of the house so very open. The open plan area area is 8m x 4.8m and I am wondering should the kitchen\kitchen island be placed in the south-west or the north-west near the window OR at the back of the open plan space south-east\north-east. Any advice or picture very welcome. Thank you
