Back garden that needs some love!

This is the garden in question... Its a Back garden area in Ireland. Gets the sun in the morning. More often than not tho, it's raining/damp/wet/cold, so most outdoor furniture is a no no. Really prohibited by the weather. Also we generally don't use this area at all as the patio to the side of the house is south west facing and has easy access from the house. This bit just got forgotten and needs some attention! It would be nice to be able to use it for those (few) lovely mornings here!

I have a forgotten area in my yard as well. It became so overgrown with weeds that last year that after pulling out everything, we used a bunch of non-matching pavers we had left over from some jobs, and I purchased others, to create a sitting area. The next door neighbor's ground ivy has made a home in that corner of my yard, so we made trellises for it to climb on, LOL. We also built a paver fire pit and placed some benches on the patio, and around it. You don't need to use cushions all the time. It turned out to be an area my husband loves to sit in now.

Around this now bricked-in corner we use annuals in various pots to add color. It still needs work, but everything around here is a "work in progress", LOL.

This is our space and while I want to keep a lot of the green, in would love an area for bbqing and a fire pit area and maybe a nice fun feature for my kids. As you can see from the photos, we have an area that is fenced off and that is going to be raised vegetables beds. we live in a very rocky area. Because my husband has the area outside our back door cemented, there will be steps going down into the garden behind that swing set.please help with pictures please as I have a problem visualising due to a car accident. Just chiming in. If you did put in a trampoline, I'd go with one that has a net around it. However that only stops them fro falling out onto concrete. My friend is an ER doctor, trampoline fractures are particularly gruesome, often occurring at the knee when someone lands on it. Double yikes!

I would use some tall grasses. The roots would keep that soil stitched together well. They have little maintenance and look fantastic in the light and breeze.
