What kind of wood floor is this?

Alex
last year

Can anyone help me identify this kind of wooden floor which we’ve exposed underneath the carpet? We’ve been told that in the other room pictured, the floor is old (17-18th century) pitch pine. However, that appears to be tongue and groove and is facing the other way (side to side not back to front). Do you think this is the same floor and it could be restored so it can be walked on, or should it only be used as a subfloor? Any thoughts greatly appreciated! The house is 17th century originally but has been changed quite a bit over the years
