Carpet for stairs.
Comments (12)Thanks all very much for your comments. I just looked at your link carolins for striped carpets, they are all fab but are ALL vertical. Has anyone ever seen horizontal ones? It would be a very expensive mistake to make if it didn't work out, especially here in Ireland as all home decor items are overpriced. Need to paint the dark stairwell too, no bannisters, just wall. Would love to be adventurous with colour but always seem to stick with the 'safe' neutral options....See MorePainting stairs cream
Comments (2)Who would paint redwood???? That's a total sin against the wood gods. Don't waste money on a premium upgraded wood like that if you want paint. Go with cheap paint grade poplar for half the price. And don't do cream paint to walk on unless you want to repaint every 6 months....See MoreTimber landing meets carpeted stairs!

Comments (0)Hi there! I have spent several days looking at how to complement the hallway of my new house, right now there is too much white going on. We will paint the stairs white and install a carpet runner with a herringbone patter as the one in the picture. The rest of the house is being decorated with a mix of Nordic, industrial and minimalist style. Im thinking on painting the door frames black but not sure if I should also paint the skirting boards black? Also im looking at painting the handrail, not sure if black or white? Im thinking of complementing it after with some green (hanging plants?) and wall decor ( walnut shelfs or mirror?) Im trying to avoid greys, blues and magnolia colours any idea is much appreciated :) thank you in advance!...See MoreCarla / kolours.space
