Staircase in this carpet but what colour for walls ? I’ve got white woodwork ….. help !!

Your old gold chair color is a bit hard to match with today's color palettes which usually use a softer gold. Have you thought about taking a blue into the dining room? Blue and gold is a very elegant combination and will compliment the mahogany floor and table. You could look for a stripe or a damask for the drapes or a wallpaper that would incorporate your chosen colors. An oriental rug would be a good way to tie in colors.

Hi---ok, so you have some different styles going on, but I think it could come together-just needs some balance with color, pattern, and a touch of whimsy... :) The wallpaper (w/owl) is a good color to incorporate into the space-works well with the sectional, dining table, and floor. The art pulls the color palette together, is contemporary with organic/circular shapes---relates to both the sectional and table designs. Pillows-masculine and feminine balanced-color palette repeated. Check BM's Seattle Mist and Brushed Aluminum for wall color. Hope this is helpful. Dreamy Truffle? Where did that come from, what did I miss? I wouldn't go that way either but any of the neutrals on the bottom row will work. Oh, sorry, I see it now, duh. When you paint your walls in a neutral color like off white you don't need to repaint when you're tired of it. It's much easier to change art and accessories than it is to repaint.
