is this possible with a single door?

I have a 50 year old 1970's build, the rooms are flexible (bonus) but small (not so much of a bonus but at least easy to heart)

I have 2 rooms that would benefit hugely by the installation of pocket doors but I can't find anyone that does them

Could you help? Thank you!

What colour to paint or varnish door saddles?

We just bought a bungalow and are doing some redecorating before we move in. It is an old house with a narrow hallway and small rooms so we want to keep it as light and airy feeling as possible. We are putting in new doors, architrave, skirting, etc. and painting these white. However all of the windows (which we aren't changing as they are quite new) are a dark wood - almost a walnut colour. My question is what colour should I varnish the door saddles? I would prefer to varnish rather than paint these, but don't want to go too dark. How many wood colours is ok in a house, e.g. should we varnish the saddles to an oak colour and stick with this for the furniture? Any advice appreciated!

Looking for ideas for updating front door and vestibule/porch area. Do I keep and update exterior sliding door or replace? I'm edging towards a light green for our internal door as goes with interior scheme. Hall quite dark so thinking of moving light fixture inside interior door and keeping as much glass in doors as possible. Any one with similar set-up or a creative brain that can share ideas? hi guys. I'm about to paint our front door. I'm going to strip the paint first using paint stripper and possibly a heat gun. however on examining the door I've noticed lots of cracks. I've attached photos although I don't know if they show how deep the cracks are. it's an old house 1930 and I'm nervous about peeling back the paint and the door falling apart. I was going to attempt filling the cracks with wood filler. would this be the way to approach this? many thanks Barbara
