I'm getting a new kitchen in an extension and trying to plan it.I like granite but it is cold and noisy to work on and put something down too hard on it and it will break. I like wood, and was wondering would the heat from a gas hob damage or blacken the wooden worktop? Thanks
no a gas hob won't damage wood worktops - obviously though - don't put hot pans directly onto a wood surface - or you may get damage ... but you knew that anyway I bet !! :-)
