Comments (3)Hi, Caitriona, The room looks to be a regular rectangle room, but could also be classified as an L shaped room as it goes in on the left. We suggest for your child's room, to have a look at our photo albums or check out our website (www.komandor.ie) for ideas to make the most of the shape. A sliding wardrobe on the right would make a lot of space for storage, a custom-made bed to fit on the left and a nice desk under the window would be perfect. These could all be custom made by us so feel free to contact us for a free call out and design to discuss further. Hope this helps!...See MoreL shaped Sitting Room/Dining Area Layout Help
Comments (1)The room has a nice feel but is a challenge in regard to furniture placement. Without structural changes, the best option would be to move the desk to the wall beside the double doors or to the wall bounding the kitchen and put a sofa (you may fit a three seater) to the left of the fireplace and buy two nice chairs on double door side of the fireplace. Something like this but without the middle sofa. A big mirror over the fireplace will help bounce light. Longer term, perhaps you should consider opening up the kitchen. You could put storage into that recessed area inside the door....See MoreStairs design dilemma
