My daughter in law had very similar kitchen she painted it grey - modernism by dulux and changed all handles and added new butchers block worktop and white tiles. It is lovely , bright airy and modern. Walls were painted corn forth white by Farrow and Ball

Hi, I have two adjoining rooms at garden level that I want to put a famly bathroom into. I'm not sure how to make best use of the spaces. The first room is roughly 14 ft x 10ft and the 2nd adjoining room is 14ft x 5 ft. I already have the washing machine installed elsewhere. I'm thinking shower/toilet/sink in narrow room& free-standing bath with storage in larger room. Ideas such as a 'garden room' & drying roomhave also crossed my mind. Ideas very welcome!

The only way to do this involves moving some cabinets. There is a lot of vertical space available opt 1) remove the upper cabinets near the window. Place the freezer on top of counter. Use the former freezer area to build in shoe cubbies. opt 2) Move the tall pantry cabinet up. Underneath the pantry cabinet, build in shoe cubbies. opt 3) move the freezer up to meet the bottom of the upper cabinets. Put she storage underneath freezer. You'll need to replace the counter with a smaller counter that will be over the washer and dryer only.

I am getting a new kitchen and will be housing my washing machine and tumble dryer in behind tall kitchen cabinets. I have to go for a 600 mm width door/cabinet and a 700 mm door as the company do not do bespoke sizes and I am restricted by a boiler on top anyway. The depth for both units will be 700 mm. My tumble dryer will go behind the 700 mm width door which is fine (it has already been behind similar for years). I was hoping to put the washing machine in the 600 mm width unit but the kitchen company are saying I have to get an integrated one. Not really sure why as the width of the washing machine is 595 mm, the same as many integrated ones and I will have the 700 mm depth for the pipes at the back. Any thoughts or similar experiences?
