Floor plan advice please!
Comments (10)You could create an ensuite by borrowing space from the second bedroom, accessing it from the master. I would create one large luxury family bathroom by joining the current bathroom and the adjoining room into one. If you don't want to lose a room, you could swap the purpose of the two rooms, creating a medium sized bathroom and a small box room/study (expensive for some benefit). Lastly, if you really want to maintain the number of rooms but gain a bigger bathroom, you could move the family bathroom to the bottom, right-hand room, if plumbing allows. Hope this helps....See MoreLosing a Bedroom
Comments (0)I am in the midst of redesigning my upstairs floor plan to incorporate a good size master/ensuite. We have a great plan; however it involves losing a small bedroom which we currently use as a study. Would you risk it? We currently have 5 bedrooms & only one and a half bathrooms & this would really help to make the interior more balanced, but I'm not sure if it would negatively impact the value of the house. Comments (9)Thank you for this and for attaching the photo to demonstrate! Lovely idea and would be ideal in the room. I’m not sure what you mean by extending the curtains? I was wondering about adding a recessed curtain rail and having it in an L shape to fit the other window too. Or maybe curtains on the large window and a Roman blind on the smaller one? I appreciate you taking the time to help, thank you again...See Morereconfigure or extension
Comments (0)We live in a 4 bed semi. We are toying with moving to a bigger better layout house in the same estate or reconfigure/extend our current house. We are content with downstairs but upstairs we’re not happy with. Myself and husband are in the master and have a small en-suite, our 2 boys share bedroom 2, the main family bathroom is too small and I use bedroom 3 as a dressing room. Bedroom 4 on the 2nd floor is a guest room and office and it has a good size en-suite. I’ve attached current layout. We don’t have much room to do a side extension so we’d have to do a rear extension. Our wish list: master suite with a large en-suite including bath and a walk in wardrobe. Bedroom each for the boys with shared en-suite. 4th bedroom and en-suite for guests and office Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance 😃...See MoreSandy
