Help needed with window type

We are knocking our kitchen and dining room into one room. We can't have a sliding door across the whole width as there is a soil stack in the way.
We thought about making the window on the right in the photos into a sliding door.
The window on the left could be a tilt/turn window so we can have ventilation without opening a door.
However we wondered whether replacing this window with a bigger oriel window incorporating a seat would look out of charcter with the house. Example of window attached.

It’s just my opinion but yes I think it would tbh if the leaded glass and rosewood frames were to stay. I think it would probably work if you were to change the glazing and at minimum paint the frames.

were you expecting the oriel window to open? I know they’re costly anyway but am sure I read recently it’s a bit of an engineering feat to have an opening oriel window

No the oriel window would be fixed. We can incorporate a small opening window on the side.

I would go with a very light spa kind of blue. Keep it crisp .. light .. pale blue/white .. nice white towels. Get new pics with white frames ...would go with your painted mirror as well.

Thanks everyone. The company I am using does have a lighter grey option but I didnt much fancy it, looked like it was trying to look metal or something. I'm not a huge fan of white upvc, that's what we have at the moment. I'm sure the grey will be fine and chances are after some time of living with them I might not even notice what color they are - hopefully too busy looking at our views .... or the rain! I'm off now to our local golf club which I'm told has the exact grey I'm talking about in their new lounge area. Might give me an idea. Fingers x'd I'll get it right.

As we are restricted to RAL colours and looking for pale blue with hint of grey can anyone suggest which shade to use? And what contrasting colour should we use for the front door?

The centre window would become a sliding door in the same colour as the end grey before door.

These type of oriel windows look amazing on both modern and traditional buildings. As for a 90s (?) house... Erm not so much.

It could work though if all the windows were being updated.
