Laminate floor problem

We have installed quick step laminate flooring and after two months I noticed these lines. I don't know what happened. Does anyone know how I can remove them please.

Try some laminate floor cleaner (I got some from B&Q) and buff it up with a soft cloth.

Hi Cherry, we went with the laminate throughout the house and it turned out absolutely stunning. To be honest it's such good quality I don't think of it as laminate and everyone who visits thinks it's solid wood. It won't look like laminate if it's a good quality brand and you use a thick underlay. Using it throughout the house makes the rooms flow and makes the spaces feel bigger. It's also really easy to maintain unlike shiny glossy tiles! Good luck!

Hi, I have a rich walnut gloss floor and it looks stunning with white & grey and brings a warmth to the room (You can get away with a darker walnut as well but mine is a mix of dark and more yellow tones)

What to put on hall landing? Carpet or laminate?

Sorry, I'm confused. You have a landing that is attached, some how, to laminate flooring somewhere. Stairs will be carpeted...but not sure how stairs tie in to the laminate. Totally lost. You have stairs that will have carpet. They are attached to the landing...that is some how attached to flooring with laminate. There might be stairs involved, there might not be. At this point, without photos or blue prints or a full, clear statement describing the whole thing, we won't be able to help. What is the flooring 'upstairs'? Putting carpet on stairs, willy-nilly, with NO connection to "other areas of carpet" is quite odd. Many people who use carpet will often "carpet the stairs" and then carpet all of the area "upstairs" to match the stairs. This is why they put carpet on the stairs in the first place...it matches the "upstairs". Using carpets on stairs, then on a landing use laminate, and then continue carpet on stairs once again is very, very odd. Ending the carpet without continuing with it (ie. upstairs is another flooring type entirely) is another "odd thing to do". In essence, we will need more precise description of what is going on here.

The sizes you mentioned for the flooring: 11mm or 8mm are not "widths" of the plank. It is the THICKNESS of the plank. Technically the thicker the laminate the "nicer" the laminate. Small rooms do well with lighter flooring. And please do not use laminate in the kitchen. It won't survive for very long. If you are going to do it, please purchase enough laminate to REMOVE AND REPLACE the kitchen TWICE. That way you can have the same floor throughout the house even if the kitchen is severely damaged....and the potential is VERY high that laminate in a kitchen will NOT survive a rental situation. Remember: in a rental, the life of a floor = 7 years on average. Laminate in a kitchen averages 3 years. That's why you want to buy enough laminate to install the kitchen TWICE....it's the only way you can get it to "live" for the full 7 years. Have fun.
