URGENT Please help with Kitchen Diner living layout
Comments (5)The long black one is the back garden door way.The smaller one on the same wall is the door way leading to extension;s corridor. The black square at the front is the door way to enter the room. The white squares are the supportive pillars for the back wall and the long one is the chimney breast. Thank you for your answer :)...See MoreNarrow Kitchen/Diner/Family Room
Comments (3)Not quite for the kitchen. Sorry, I should have drawn it...the units set on the bottom ŵall are correct but just in a straight line..The other part of the L shape is on ŵall B on your plan. The dining table would be in front of the units on the bottom ŵall. If unclear (quite possibly from my description!) I'll post a pic tomorrow...See MoreKitchen Layout
Comments (2)Hi Helen, The fridge position is ideal so I suggest you move the radiator to the other side of the door and turn the door so its opens back against the fridge. This will increase the feeling of space in the whole dining area. You won't regret the length of your breakfast bar so I wouldn't worry about the gap sizes, 1200 is an ideal but 1000 is more than sufficient. Could you turn the door into the utility so that it opens inwards and not into the kitchen area? It would eliminate having to manoeuvre round the door when open and reduce congestion in the kitchen especially with traffic flow past the end of the breakfast bar. Alternatively you could consider a pocket door which slides into the wall if there is enough space. Good luck!...See MoreKitchen layout advice. Can we fit an island
Comments (0)Hi all. We are converting our garage and putting on a rear extension. The extension is not in the attached plan. We need need ideas for kitchen layout. I'd love an island but not sure if it would fit. The garage measures 15ft8" by 8ft3" without insulation. We also have a large American fridge freezer (27.5in deep, 33in wide) to accommodate and I want a good sized larder press. Had been looking at a corner one by the window at the front but would this leave the window too small?...See Morerinked
