Small dining table

I've got A lovely caligaris dining table that I bought for my previous much smaller dining room and don't want to part with it. It extends to double length but it's quite narrow. Any ideas for how to source a good topper to make it wider/proportionate? It will be our main surface for eating, so needs to be stylish yet durable

Lovely space, I imagine at this stage you have got sorted with the table and chairs... what did you choose. My flooring looks like yours a bit... ceramic tile made to look like wood... I'm thinking of a wooden table and chairs for mine... currently dark grey but I think ash or light oak would warm the space nicely

There will be plenty of room for you to have an Island within your Kitchen / Diner. I would possibly look into a maneuverable island rather than a fitted, to ensure that you have ample space should you cater to more than 6 guests. (I've attached a Layout). Hello. We have an open plan kitchen/living/dining room and have really struggled to find the right place for our dining table. The showhouses had a small dining table in the centre of the room and a sideboard in the alcove. However a 6-seater looks huge in the centre and breaks the flow of the room. We are considering extending the kitchen onto the patio to create a dining room but until that happens I’d love to hear some suggestions!
