paint matching William Morris wallpaper

Hello Houzzers,

My son has some amazing William Morris Brer Rabbit wallpaper in his bedroom. Unfortunately his little sister tore a strip off it. I’ve managed to match the blue (FB stiffkey) but the paint colour I’ve used on the lighter areas is too white and I need to redo the fix up job. Any ideas where / how I can colour match the paler colour without having to tear more off 😢?

I would order paint colour cards from F&B and Little Greene. They are free, if I'm correct. You can then hold them up to the paper and see which colour comes close and order a sample pot

    Hi @LouiseNichol,

Could it be any easier to add few whites? Just a thought...

It looks more a cream? Get lots of paint charts and do a comparison.

Measure the colour with either a Vario Color Muse or an NCS Colorpin.

It will tell you the Hue/Value/Chroma of the colour.

From that it’s possible to find a near match paint colour, without all the schlepping about.

Thanks everyone! I didn’t think to get paint charts, so obvious now.
I’ll get onto it once the kids are (finally) back in school!
