Kitchen window dressing
I’m struggling for ideas on how I can dress my kitchen window and patio door now that the kitchen has just been updated. The window is a bifold so will need to be able to easily open it and the patio doors open out and are frequently used for access to back garden. I don’t want vertical or venetian blinds really so any other ideas welcome. The kitchen is white and grey with a splash of colour at one end!

5 years agoWe have these in our kitchen and I really like them: broad white wooden slats - clean and contemporary and light.
Just about to renovate and extend the kitchen and will replace with similar again. Well not at the back (where we will have bifolds). This window will actually be where our kitchen sink will be.

Shutters are fantastic for creating a clean, uncluttered feel, while, as Colourhappy says, a Roman blind is a great way to add a luxurious feel. Both create a classic look that will never go out of style. Alternatively, as you say, curtains are a gorgeous choice. Floor length curtains would create a real sumptuous look, but you may want to consider how this might block your radiator, especially if you intend to open and close them regularly. Comments (3)Yeah was thinking a larger mirror ....we have nothing done with the room yet. Afraid to ...in case I get it wrong. Was thinking of pulling the sofa out from the wall a little at an angle. Maybe wingback chair near fireplace...want to keep it kinda open and minimal....maybe console table to the left of the mantal ...or move the tele all together ..I dunno. The room isn't that narrow...
