Hi all, we’re closing on a house Oct 1. and would like to give the master bedroom a little love before moving in... attached are photos of the room (all furniture will be removed). The room is very spacious (measures 13x19 ft), but funky. The windows look to be randomly placed, and it has very high ceilings. The bifold doors reveal a very tiny (not walk-in) closet, so we were thinking about adding some built ins? What design advice do you all have to offer? We are definitely going to replace floor, paint walls, etc. but all recommendations and ideas are gladly welcome! Thank you in advance!

It would help if you could post some photos as this gives us a better understanding of what you are dealing with. It would probably help your thinking if you draw out the space and really think about what your favourites plants are. A mix of some shrubs, climbers and small long flowing plants like geranium rozanne will give you year round interest. Remember right plant right place is a rule for a very good reason! Maybe talk to the neighbours about cutting back any branches on your side of the boundary?

Hi I am decorating my living room, measuring 4.4 x 3.4, walls are painted white so its a blank canvas. At this point I have two couches, one navy velvet and a brown leather couch, I will add photos of these. I plan to have these facing each other, directly opposite each other. I also have an oil painting for the walls, I'll include a picture of that also, I am looking for some help with colour choices and texture ideas for cushions,throws and a rug. I am also struggling with ideas for other furniture I could add to the room. We moved into our home a year ago and we are slowly doing it up, we live mainly in the extension we built on at the back of the house which is open plan living/kitchen, but I want to make this room, which is part of the original of this semi D house, cosy and inviting. Somewhere for adults to come to read and relax. I love colour and am very open minded. I would really appreciate any advice people may have, Thanks Natalie

bathroom renovation advice

I want to upgrade the bathroom in my apartment as it is very dated. It is the main and only bathroom. I’ve been advised to get rid of the bath but I’m not too keen as I love having the option of a bath. I don’t like the fact that the toilet is the first thing you see if door is left open so was hoping to swap the toilet with sink/bath. Room Measurements are 2.68 x 1.64. Do I have even have enough space to move the bath? Do I have room for a separate bath and shower like in some of the picture below? All advice welcome!
