it kinda looks like someone already designed you one? what elements don't you like?

This was an alternative but it just seems like there is no worktops and a bit top heavy.

If you don’t already have the huge fridge I would swap that to an integrated one in a tall tower and then also have the oven in a tower unit along side it.

The oven is a bit of a distance from the sink. It all seems rather spread out for the fridge, sink, hob and oven.

You say you can't afford an island hob, looks like an induction hob in the pic, it's same price whether it goes on run or on island? Or do you mean extraction? You can get away with a simple bathroom type extractor instead of the huge overhead ones.

The island looks disjointed, looks like you had an island then decided it wasn't long enough so stuck a unit on the end.

Do you need all those stools? Do you have a dining table?

I would integrate fridge freezer.

The wall units either side hob look out of place, I'd do without them.

You say you can't open fridge when dishwasher is open, us it that big a deal?

Are you planning a whole new kitchen? It's just that the first pic you said there's nothing different to current layout so would you keep the kitchen then?

These are 2 different designs done from different suppliers for a new kitchen. My current kitchen is totally different, the kitchen does need to go on that wall as it’s the best configuration of the total space.

The hob on the island would need adequate extraction, The extraction rate i would need for the size of the open plan room would not be covered by a simple switch fan extractor and it’s not possible for an overhead one, with the integrated induction ones costing alot more.

i have a dining table but thought it would be nice to have an alternative for breakfast working etc.. We are a family of 6.

If I integrate the fridge and freezer would need two tall ones so would they look ok in the same place. I currently have 2 fridges and 2 freezers so that’s the reason I opted for AF.

Looks like you have the space for a much more efficient working triangle. An L or U layout would be better than a straight run.

could you provide a quick sketch, I’m not sure how a u or l shape would fit . This was the initial floor plan space, but the kitchen layout has been altered from this so the hob was closer to island.

This is what we do for clients all the time - we come up with several options and ultimately work with you to achieve a design you are really happy with ... but because we don’t sell product ( and therefore won’t make money on what you buy) - we charge for the design.
