Pillow colours? Is the picture too small for the room?

Hi there! This is our main living room, there is usually a tall plant beside the couch( outside ATM). i can’t seem to figure out how to tie the room together... we just got rid of our huge rug and we need Another one I was thinking something like the picture below. Is the tapestry too short for the room? We like the colours as it goes with our dining Room decor( oic below). any suggestions for how to improve the room would be appreciate!

Agree with alant1000 about starting from scratch, but not sure about white. They are some lovely either light grey, light green, or light caramel, which will keep the room warm feeling, and less stark. The wallpaper feature wall you presently have is far too dark for the room - if you want wallpaper, there are some lovely sparkle designs, or stick to paint and do a slightly darker colour than the chosen wall colour. Have you thought about painting the doors white? The dark curtains do not help either. Do you need curtains and vertical blinds? If you lost the curtains, the window would look neater and lighter. Why not look at serving hatches? As they are open you won't need to keep the glass clean and make sense in the Kitchen setting. If you want to close the noise away then you can using the doors and it wouldn't take up too much space.

If it all fits in then why not. I don't think the desk will go with the bed or maybe it would work it the desk was painted. Do you need the desk or could you use a smaller console table for working/doing things from ? Not a fan of sliding doors would rather swop the door so it opens the other way if space is an issue. What is going on the shelves are they needed ?

Hi, I think any of those 3 could look good, with white elsewhere as a contrast and bringing in some bright warm colours with cushions, throws etc. We repainted our house last year and used Farrow and Ball colours - Elephants Breath is very popular and looks great in our living room, we used their darker greys in our sitting room and hall. You can get Dulux to mix FandB colours so it works out cheaper if you like. I was afraid of it being cold or dark but love it!
