Hello, as you can see in my photo's we have recently refurbished our hall! Unfortunately, we don't know what to do with the ugly top bit on this concrete bannister (If that's even what you would call it). It should have been done before everything else, as now that everything else is new, we don't want much mess . . . but that's my partner for you (rolling eyes). Any advice is much appreciated.
I think it is the sharp edges and rough joins which make it look like some planks have just been stuck on. I’d sand those edges smoother and then sand and fill where you can see the joins. Then paint to match the rest of the woodwork.
