Was anybody able to replicate/find the stone for the fireplace?
Trying to find it on the west coast. Anything similar?

Hi Jackie, the stone we used here is South Bay Quartzite. Best of luck!

Hi Zoe , I had to take a second look to make sure this wasn't my photo! I have the same fireplace frame and our mirrors are similar! You have great taste ;) I can't offer any advise I'm afraid, but I'll be watching closely to see if something can be done. I wondered if it was possible to sand it down and paint it white or cream maybe, but the silver pieces may pose a problem. I'm tired of mine too. Here's hoping for some inspiration....

Hi everyone.I have a very large stone fireplace in my living room. I'm not crazy about it at all and would love to change it up. I can deal with below the mantle, it's from the mantle up that I can't stand. I have a very small budget so i don't think removing it is an option. Any suggestions on what I can do to hide the top part? Photo in the comments

Hi Aisling, In my opinion the black insert is a much more contemporary look over the brass one. A lot of the current trends in fireplaces are linear black incerts. The black insert would also be easier to work with if in a couple of years you decided to change out the mirror or the curtin pole, you would not be tied to designing around the brass. I have attached two pictures below of a white fire place with a black insert and gold mirror and i think it works really nicely. Hope this helps :) Best, Emily
