Dining table ideas

Hi,

Looking for some ideas for a round dining table please for our recent extension. We have dark wooden floor so not exactly sure what style to go for?

i have the same dilemma! maybe a table with a top in the same colour of wood?

What style are you after?
I am not a professional, so your flooring looks like teak to me. I have an excellent vintage G plan extending round teak table, and planning to swap it to a rectangular one later on.
There are plenty G plan and Ercol teak dining table on ebay, if you like the vintage look.

The room is 14.5 ft x 14 ft (427 x 442cm). The table length that looks right on a paper pattern is 8ft or 244cm. The width that looks right is 56'' to 60'' (142-152cm) but no tables are as wide as that. Will I have to get a table made or is there any other solution?

I've got A lovely caligaris dining table that I bought for my previous much smaller dining room and don't want to part with it. It extends to double length but it's quite narrow. Any ideas for how to source a good topper to make it wider/proportionate? It will be our main surface for eating, so needs to be stylish yet durable

Struggling with whether to go with a rectangle or round dining table in our new kitchen/diner. I prefer rectangle but since space is tight I wondered if round would be a better option allowing clearer walkways? But then would round look odd in this shape room?? FYI..the entrance door from the hallway actually opens the opposite way that in this sketch
