Grey sofa colours to pop
Comments (5)Kimdee24 ~ just the right amount of turquoise and distributed nicely through out the room. and i love the pop of red... Being a lover of turquoise.. that colour gets my vote!...See MoreWhat style is this sofa?
Comments (25)It's interesting, but we inherited a sofa and companion chair with the same sweep of the arms, but a lot of intentionally fanned pleats - all done in a deep peach fabric- almost salmon. I was moving into a larger home and needed the pieces, probably 1930s vintage with squatted round wooden feet/legs, each on a caster. I didn't like the color however, so chose to have it reupholstered. That, rather than be forced to work with it. I still love it today. So there's another option, though a little pricey. I agree with Decoenthusiast about the vintage of your sofa. It's not very old, and style is transitional. So it can, just like my delightfully interesting Christmas dinner guest (thanks Lenny), 'go either way' ;).....See MoreChange fabric on my sofa for spring/summer
Comments (6)Are we talking about a slip-cover, or actual reupholstery? While I think a turquoise sofa would look amazing with your grey walls and white marble floors, it would be a considerable investment that might be too trendy. Case in point; I absolutely LOVED my teal leather sofa in 1990, but by 2000, was so sick of it, and asked myself what the heck was I thinking? Expensive mistake, one which I will never make again. It would be far better to stick to a neutral sofa and buy turquoise pillows, throws, curtains, a rug with some turquoise in it. These are things that could easily and inexpensively be changed out as trends and tastes change....See MoreNeed help with matching wall colour up with wallpaper mural
Comments (15)Thanks for that groveraxle - we might be changing the sofa in that room so I could possibly pick a different colour sofa next time so it's not so inline with the walls. That said I love how vibrant the mural is - does the brown wall colour make it look dull? Spoke with DH and there is no way he will go for the blue....See MoreAnn Jones
