white paint for bathroom

I was wondering if someone who knows their paints could help? I need a white paint for my bathroom to go above white tiles which will go halfway up the wall. The bathroom has no windows so I want to get the right shade of white for a room with no natural light. Any suggestions for reasonably priced white paint colours? Thanks!

Eggshell paint is recommended for metal and woodwork. Personally I prefer a wipeable Matt paint. I think you go with the brand your decorator likes and that way you have a happy trade.
And lastly I think a brilliant white paint will look awful in that room- really cold and clinical. I understand the instinct to go white in a windowless room but it doesn’t work, it doesn’t make it lighter. Instead I think you should choose a paint colour that looks good in electric light. Given it already has a lot of white in there I would avoid any watery blues. Yellows can look bad in electric light and are unflattering in the morning.
I would choose a mid or dark grey with either a brown undertone or green quality.
I also like teal and very dark blue or chocolate brown.

Mary, I am very glad to hear from you. I think of you often. It hurt me terribly when that unthoughtful person said what she said. I can only imagine how it must have hurt you. I would love to see how you have decorated for Christmas. I am almost certain there are differences between how our 2 countries do it. I would go with a very light spa kind of blue. Keep it crisp .. light .. pale blue/white .. nice white towels. Get new pics with white frames ...would go with your painted mirror as well.

I agree, I wouldn't paint a windowless room white. Pure white needs natural light, otherwise it reads as grey.
