I am wondering what the general consesus is with regards to making the rads a feature by painting them or letting them blend in in matte white, same as walls.
Also does Anyone have an experience with any of the following radiators:
When I first built my house rads were the norm and underfloor heating wasn’t, I wish I had the chance to do it again as I wouldn’t have a rad in the house!
The normal convection rad that comes std in a house is ugly, no two ways about it, if you have a chance to change then, do!
If your stuck with them colour code with the wall to try disguise them somewhat!
I’ve a couple of original, recommissioned princess rads, great rad and looks fantastic but make sure whoever you get them from knows what the are doing as I’ve heard of people with them leaking at joins!
My kitchen one sitting before I connected it up and my standard rad in the living room (which is being replaced with another princess) painted to blend in a bit!
For bedrooms and hallways upstairs, I would blend in the radiators and do some interesting feature walls with something like panelling to divert the visual focus to them. All depends on the overall style that you are trying to achieve.
We deal with Zehnder and i wouldn't recommend painting them but some rads you can. I think it depends on the colour scheme and whether you would like them to stand out.
