The chairs were purchased from Room & Board. They are called the Soleil Lounge Chair

I have a white corian and love it. It brightened the kitchen so much. I think the Only thing you can set hot pots on is ceramic tile. I have made trivets out of pretty tiles. Go to the store and find a tile you love buy one or two and then cut felt slides that stick, like for the bottom of a chair leg or buy precut ones. These are great! I use them on lots of things. They are under my coffee pot, toaster, large cutting board, garbage bowl I keep on the counter, anything I move that's kind of big or heavy on the counter. Corian requires no sealing. Only thing that has thought about staining so far was grated carrots, or the skin gratings from carrots. But then I just worked on the spot lightly with a scotch bright pad. I saw somewhere that someone else tried a mr clean eraser n corian. Staining in my integrated white sink is zero. Installed in January 2013. I have had corian in a previous house with no problems also.

I really like the clean lines of your kitchen , it's beautiful and I would not add to much colour but you could use some accessories with green and white that would compliment this minimalistic kitchen. For example adding a bright green plant/s or an accessory the same colour as the clock on your top wall can put everything in a nice perspective!

It looks very pretty. I would look at pics of painted floors versus whitewashed and see which you prefer then people can hopefully help with methods. I've used chalk paint but not on a floor. Annie Sloan sell floor lacquer so you don't need to use the wax which is very time consuming to apply, the lacquer can be rollered on. The only thing I would say is that it does not adhere to I think varnish made in the 80's and I find the White paint coverage is poor although not an issue if white washing. Lovely space, I imagine at this stage you have got sorted with the table and chairs... what did you choose. My flooring looks like yours a bit... ceramic tile made to look like wood... I'm thinking of a wooden table and chairs for mine... currently dark grey but I think ash or light oak would warm the space nicely
