Welcome, for me I don't like the idea of spots in a bedroom. I would go with combination of a main light possibly on a dimmer and besides also, depending on furniture size/placement and space. You could carve out a little reading nook/sitting area with a comfy chair and a well placed floor lamp. I love the mood lamps set in a room
I do like the idea of a main dimmer controlled light and then bedsides as well, similar to hotel rooms. Yeah it seems spotlights are not a preference for a bedroom but it's very difficult to tell.
I would agree with Patrina, something on a dimmer is great as you need more light in the morning to get ready but something cosier at night. You could also consider whether you need lighting over your wardrobe plus if there's an area where you'll get ready. Some people also add a discreet reading light in addition to bedside lamps. I don't know if the room is ensuite and whether it would be in budget but the really low level lighting motion controlled lights for nighttime trips to the loo are fantastic (although I don't know anything about them if I'm honest!)
If your going down the route of using a dimmer make sure its compatible with the type of fitting you are using i.e halogen / LED as most don't work with a dimmer switch
