What a transformation was that ?!

We are really pleased with this project. 130% more space ! That`s a huge improvement !

That looks like a lot of VAT paid compared to a knock down and rebuild...

OK then I think you might have to work asymmetrically. Instead of many cupboard doors, over your boiler, have one door placed over it with a push in push out system to open it. This will create a smooth "wall" - paint this and the wall above the brick area cream and the brick below grey.I would then change the cabinet on the other side so that you use cream with a grey counter and even grey shelves...Could this work better?More photos would certainly help? Where is your chalet?

Hi there, We're in Kilkenny and we're lighting designers. A lot depends on budget but if you are re-fitting areas we could recommend fittings for the walls plus how about highlighting the top of wall with a good bathroom uplighter around edge - LED perhaps. The issue is that it is too flat as the colours are similar. If you added more depths of light it would help greatly. Of course we do a full range of bathroom fittings too so even a simple thing like two well chosen wall lights would help significantly. We have similar dilemma here. My husband likes the cream tiles & although I do like the look of them in a kitchen, I also worry about them being / looking cold if they were through the whole house. Plus it would most likely be me cleaning them every day! So it will be wood floors for us.

What direction is it facing? that will have a huge bearing on the layout. I also would question the large Living area in addition to the family room. 1700 is perfectly adequate for a bathroom but another 100mm in width would be better.
