5 years agoIf you look on F&B’s website and click on colour schemes you can see suggested complimentary colours. I’ve also think slipper satin goes well with elephants breath. Here’s a couple of inspo pics (although the other way round), slipper satin on walls, woodwork in elephants breath.

Comments (7)Hi. I do agree with all of what Apple pie said. If the chest of drawers or bed can't go elsewhere at minimum I'd remove the unit above and add a table lamp and vase of good faux flowers o the chest. If budget permits, move the air vent literally down a few feet where it is so it's not prominent, if not create a collage of art or decorative mirrors over that ŵall so it's less visible. The room appears quite dark (although that may be the pic!), so I'd paint the walls in savage ground by farrow and ball ( do get fabric samples first though as there are more paint colours available!). In future I would probably change the carpet (although it's nice) to a pale neutral as it's probably sucking the light. Maybe also paint the door as that looks quite dark. Using the pic posted from your Idea book I'd use that as inspiration using cream, pale bronze, antique gold etc. it's hard to tell if full length curtains will hang properly next to the wardrobe, if not, go for Roman blinds in a cream/natural floral, damask, bird toile etc. it's easy to mix any of these patterns with other florals etc for the bed. Ideally I'd hang the blind outside of the recess so as not to block light but I can't see if that would work. If you're on a budget do look at ebay for blinds or fabric, often designer guild cushions or some of the high street names will also come up. Personally I'd go for plain bed linen and add cushions and a throw mixing plain and patterns in different fabrics. Comments (73)I think it looks great so far. Many of the ads for claw foot tubs, and magazines, show them with encaustic/cement tile and plain white surround. Also, you did something creative and attractive with the tile layout. I love the nickel shine of your clawfoot legs too. If you can maybe get a corner shelf on one side of the wall, you'll have a place for soap, candle or bubble bath. And maybe hotel towel holder on another wall to get the height up. Comments (74)Hello Houzz Ireland, We are currently renovating a 1960's build - so as you know, there is a lot of decisions to be made!! So it would be nice to get some gems of advice from the experts to help us through this daunting task. Areas where we would really like some inspiration for - small bathroom downstairs. I would really like to do something fun with this room and although small, I think it could work really well with some funky wallpaper or possibly tiles?! I'm just not sure what to do with it. Also - pulling a whole house together?! Where do we start? We have the bigger pieces of furniture but how do I know what nest of tables goes best with a suite? Or what accessories will bring a room together? I'm due a second baby in 2 weeks time so any help at this stage would be so amazing - to guide me on the right interior design path for our new house. 5 years agoI think white furniture goes beautifully with Elephants Breath. Then you can add some soft blush pink cushions, throws etc, otherwise stick with greige accessories In various textures. Or you could go dark with a navy wall and accessories. There are so many options. Here’s a few ideas:

3 years agolast modified: 3 years agoHad my shaker oak kitchen professionally resprayed with Elephants Breath, and the colour looks so different at certain times of the day! It mostly looks like a silvery flat chalk grey, and then occasionally your eye catches a more warm tone! I guess its to do with the light particles and reflections? The colour card shown on the above picture is not what the colour really looks like in my kitchen. I now wish id chosen a warmer putty colour, as i feel the grey in kitchen looks quite cold but im going to try and warm it up by accessorizing with baby pink pastel coloured kettle and toaster etc? Any advice would be appreciated?
