Tv/media storage solutions??
Comments (6)Well good, I'm glad you like them. I watched a Sarah Richardson show once where they were rebuilding the wall where the tv would sit, and there was a small closet very nearby. They integrated all the wires and cables inside the wall and stored the media components in the small closet, so all you saw was the tv. It was great! Unfortunately, we don't all have the opportunity to rebuild a wall with a closet nearby so these cabinets are the best we can do....See MoreHelp needed for TINY Tv room. Comments (5)Hi. I think a Chesterfield would be nice, you can find some small ones c5ft or so which will allow for a narrow lamp table or trunk. I'd go for a ŵall to wall bookcase behind the sofa with a couple of ŵall lights affixed. I don't know what styles you like but perhaps french doors painted in a dark grey to give a crittall look. Does the tv fit in the alcove if you were to add shelves and then add art over the fire with a large mirror on the ŵall facing you? I would keep colours light (is the kitchen grey?) and although it would fill the space a little I might add a narrow upholstered footstool which you can use as extra seating and/or add a tray on one half which you can accessorise...See MoreGold Kitchen Hardware - where to find in Dublin?
Comments (2)Thanks Barry. I will try Showtime for the taps. I've found one shop in Dublin that supplies brass lacquered handles but they tell me they are really not practical or recommended for use in a kitchen as the lacquer will "break down" (they couldn't say how long this would take). I see gold coloured hardware all the time on Houzz though so I think there must surely be a material being used in those handles that is more kitchen friendly..I just cant seem to find any kitchen company that knows more about it. If anyone has experience of "gold coloured/effect" hardware in a kitchen, would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks again...See MorePositioning of furniture in living room, what do you think?
Comments (0)Hi, we're trying to figure where the furniture should go in this living room. We would like to place a three seater, two seater and the television as a starting point. There is no fireplace or other focal point in the room. You also have to walk through this room to get to the kitchen so the furniture cannot block this route. There is a deep alcove on the left of the room where we would like to put a small work station with shelves on the wall above the desktop. Would you hang the television on the long wall or put it in the corner opposite the workstation alcove? We could put a three seater under the window but where to place a two seater is a problem. We need more seating than one couch can supply. Any ideas? Thank you...See MoreDaisy England
