Comments (11)I would paint the room white and wall behind bed the same color pink that is in chair and then add prints above headboard and a large piece of art on wall on the right. Change pillows on chair and bed to modern and vibrant colors in grey/pink and yellow and add a coverlette to bottom. Purchase larger lamp for table on right and remove lamp from left side of bed and place a tray and some books on the ottoman. Move carpet to beside the bed. White roman blinds and painting the door white would be a good idea and just ask at paint store what needs to be done to prime, etc. Adding a fun chandelier is also an idea. Comments (10)Thanks. Beautiul space. Can you please take a photo of the wall that is across from the island? -there is no overhang on the counter...so I am not seeing stools there on either the long portion of the island or the shorter portion by the window. -if you mean by the window, there is a door on one side and an oven on the other.....hence it is a traffic way,,,,,,you don't want stools there I am not sure why you feel the need to put something there. You might consider art on the wall across from the island to ground that wall. Need a photo....See Morehelp with living room
Comments (13)Thanks maumason I think you're right about the more vibrant pops of mustard yellow, and I definately need an area rug. I've photo of romans below, they're a charcol grey and the walls are a light grey. Blenheim I like your photos and do think white fireplace is nice with navy wall but I don't think I'll attempt to paint my marble fireplace! I do like that mirror in your photo and maybe something similar would look better than what I have. I think i've too much going on with the feature yellow on the fireplace and the canvas and perhaps why it looks out of balance. I think if I paintrd he fireplace wall light grey like the other walls, changed the mirror, and painted the wall behind the couch instead (maybe navy? Dark grey?) it might look more focused? I know sofa and chairs are a bit chunky and I don't love them, but will have to put up with them for another while. They are recliners and super comfy which is important for me though!! I do like my coffee table and tv unit, it's reclaimed pine and looks nicer in real life - perhaps it'l work better once I get my dream sofa!!...See MoreIsabel Walter
