I think you should consider houssaon's idea of painting it the same color as the walls. Is the top of the tv console painted wood or is it a stone or composite? In the pictures my ipad shows me speckles (not dirt!!). My ipad sometimes *lies* to me. :) If the gray is the prominent color in the paint, maybe a darker gray would be a good choice too. If you are happy with the gray/green color next to your bookcases, then you should be able to pick a gray that would look good with both the new paint, and the bookcase. Gray next to the fireplace shouldn't be a problem :)

Hi Louise, Lovely new kitchen, such a lovely bright space too. I would suggest going a couple of shades darker than the kitchen furniture colour so you get a contrast to the furniture and flooring. This will help keep it on a neutral palette so your other furniture and accessories are not competing with too many colours. Also as your room as so much natural light you can go for a slightly stronger wall colour and it will look superb. the photo below shows a very cool grey wall you could go for a warmer grey but it give you an idea of what you could do. Painting the walls can always be changed relatively easily, so if you want a change after a few years you can and it's a lot less costly than a new kitchen! Trying to figure out a good match for the wall paint color. My computer is viewing it as a warm neutral sage. It has a light and airy feel. If not, can anyone recommend something similiar to described. My carpet is similar beige color and my wood furnishing match the bed posts.
