looking to restain my wood floors and i love this color. any idea or suggestion on how i can ask for this color?

This looks like a mahogany stain, but photos are deceptive. It all depends upon the wood species and the infinite numbers of stain colors. Whatever professional you select to put in your floors will have stain samples for you to pick from.

If you have a Lowe's nearby, take a look at the Pergo Driftwood Pine Laminate Flooring (top photos.) Even though it has a rustic, beach house feel, I love the color. It's a silvery/white/taupe (for lack of a better description) and that would be striking with your wall color, white bedding and black/brown bed. My other suggestion would be Brazilian Teak, (bottom photos) which is beautiful. It really depends on what makes you feel good and what you love living in! Christi for ThosBaker

Hi, I have a rich walnut gloss floor and it looks stunning with white & grey and brings a warmth to the room (You can get away with a darker walnut as well but mine is a mix of dark and more yellow tones)

The key is seeing the potential a room has.You should choose a color similar to the white oak doors to make the room appear bigger. a darker floor would accentuate the small scale of the floor.
