The moss was naturally occurring beneath the grass lawn. The grass was weak and need to be reseed several times a year and was not growing properly. We recommended that the client weed out the grass and leave the moss. We then switched from spray irrigation to a mist system and within a few month the moss had filled in to create this beautiful ground cover. If you don't have naturally occurring moss to use as a starter you can purchase moss sod from retailers such as Moss Acres or use the product called Moss Milkshake which is spores that you add water too and spray on the area.
