How about BM dove white on all the walls with a navy on the window wall,that wood give plenty of light in the room while using your favorite color.Lots of color goes well with navy ,kelly green ,lime green ...yellow ,orange,hot pink

the question is, what colour is the flooring? White leather sofas will look sophisticated against a neutral grey (don't go for a cold tone). My favourite colour at the moment is French grey by the little green company. They have dark, medium and light versions to suit. then invest in some bright coloured cushions plus get 1 or 2 silver ones to tie in your curtains.

This might sound a bit like being on the fence given the advice you've had already... How about a mid to dark grey ( less contrast than black), RAL 7022 is a favourite of mine (warmer grey), or look at a green grey, as something that will have the colour of the olive, with a good amount of contrast against the white render, (you won't have the warm rich colours of the brickwork as in the photos above (which the olive looks good against)). If you are painting the timber windows you would do well to look at microporous opaque stains to reduce your on-going maintenance. A benefit of aluclad composite windows is colour outside can be factory supplied different to the interior finish. Hope this might help. Regards, Nick

please can you help me with choosing a paint colour for our walls to help tone down the colourful wooden floor. i really dislike it but cant change it at the moment. i was thinking about painting the walls oyster bed in colourtrend and the door surrounds in artic blonde. all suggestions welcome. please help.
