What are the two cabinet paint colors.

They look like two different colors. Also, it looks antiqued with flat finish. Please comment as best you can. Thank you.

I would love to share that information with you, but we custom mixed the two color shades of these cabinets to specifically meet our client's vision. Between the rub through, the base coats, and the crackle finish we applied six coats to these cabinets.

Ooh Darzy I like your thinking. Actually the curtains are taupe and a nearly mint green - not stripes more they blend into each other (see pic). But if I got some art picking out those 2 colours that could work. I love teal but not sure about it on this wall. Maybe coral could be nice or is that too on trend? I also have an old chair I need to get reupholstered and was struggling for ideas for that. But a floral pattern with the green and taupe from the curtains and a third colour that matches the art could work well - ideas, ideas, ideas!Thank you Houzzers I knew you'd help me to look at this differently.

I'd paint white the TV wall in oder to make it visually higher and to hide the white color of the door, now the dark color under lines that it is rather low and different from two main doors color and height of third one. I like brown FP wall, it works good with sofas and will attract eyes visually raising the ceiling above TV furniture. And one more thing I'd think about: the 1-st photo shows that there are too much unconnected different heights (doors, mirror, TV furniture, FP wall, ceiling). Definitely some heights are needed to be connected. I'd put lower the mirror and the shelf above FP so that the TV furniture and the mirror up lines were the same height. To bring more colors into the room as it was mentioned above I'd pick up some colors from the art work for cushions and curtains.

Hi Louise, Lovely new kitchen, such a lovely bright space too. I would suggest going a couple of shades darker than the kitchen furniture colour so you get a contrast to the furniture and flooring. This will help keep it on a neutral palette so your other furniture and accessories are not competing with too many colours. Also as your room as so much natural light you can go for a slightly stronger wall colour and it will look superb. the photo below shows a very cool grey wall you could go for a warmer grey but it give you an idea of what you could do. Painting the walls can always be changed relatively easily, so if you want a change after a few years you can and it's a lot less costly than a new kitchen! I painted my kitchen three years ago, and I love it. It's hard work and can take some weeks to do. You need to take doors off, remove the hinges and handles. Remember you need to prime and paint two coats on each side, so for a door that equates to six coats of paint and letting each coat dry. I used Mylands of London paint, I'm just hooked on this paint as the eggshell is dead flat with only 8 percent sheen, you wont get another paint any flatter. And if the paints good enough for Downtown Abbey, then it's good enough for us. I would hold back on painting wall tiles, as they are white and look fine , paint the cupboards first and see what it looks like. I choose Myalnds paint and had the colour mixed in a farrow and ball blue green. See photos. Good luck Yvonne
