Love the doors . Which company made them ? What is the thickness of the vertical sightlines ?

With a sliding door, you can have each side different to match the style of the room it faces. Here are some ideas that, believe it or not, are done with sharpies on flat surfaces. I can envision a "fireplace" on the lounge side. On the dining room side, you could do the "double door" look, by putting half on the door, and half on the wall next to the door. So when the door is closed, it looks like a pair of doors, but when the door is slid open it looks like only one door (but it's the wall!) I added the 3rd picture just because I think it's so cool. I believe the only "real" thing in the room is the glass table/desk, and the filing cabinet.

Should we use a sliding pocket door between our open plan living space and front living room or build a wall? Please help us decide what’s your experience with pocket sliding doors or would we just be better to brick it up and have a totally separate space?? Thanks in advance!

Knock down wall between kitchen and dining room or sliding door

Hi All, Apologies if this has been done to death but I currently have a very dark dining room due to an extension that has been built to the rear of it. The kitchen has relatively more light so I was hoping to borrow some light from the kitchen. I am a bit nervous about fully bringing down the wall between the kitchen and dining room as I would like to preserve the entity of both rooms if that makes any sense. Question is any ideas or photos of the below ideas that can help me decide between the options I am looking into: (a) knock down wall fully (b) knock down half the wall to create an arch (c) add a sliding door between dining and kitchen? I'm getting quotes for the installation of either a sliding door or bifold doors across the back of our house. Will be about 4m wide. Some builders saying a steel beam above and below to enable door to slide properly. Has anyone done this type of job or have any advice?
