Window colour

We've started a new build, 2 storey, to be painted white with some limestone stone work and granite window sills. Currently seeing a lot of new builds of this type with grey windows - anyone know why this colour? Grey is not our preference, we're open to greens/navys or reds.

Any advice or photos people could share?

I have cream windows throughout my house and am trying to select an interior trim colour. I'm not fond of wood trim so I want a painted trim, same colour in every room of the house. I'm afraid white trim would not go with the yellow-y cream of the windows but I don't want to match all the trim and doors to the windows as I'm not all that fond of the window colour. Really I would like to minimise the window colour, would white trim do this, or would a grey or lighter cream be a better way to go?

Hi Becky I'm not sure what style you are looking for but try www.solidor.co.uk These are the best low maintenance front doors you can get with lots of options on colours, inside and out. We are one of their installers in Colchester and have four on display, if we are near enough pop in, if not just find a local installer. if you are after timber we supply Bereco, again go to their website, not cheap but beautiful. We also can supply Grey windows, not in 50 shades, but in 3, so you can have from light to dark. Anything else just ask. Regards Joe

Render & Window colour decisions. Advice on 1930s semi - curb appeal?

Looking for help in choosing colours for Windows and render. It’s a 1930s semi. We’ll be externally insulating it and looking for a textured wet dash finish. We love our white plinth and intend on reinstating it. I’m not a fan of the anthracite grey that’s in at the moment, so will probably favour a lighter colour window. Our window supplier has suggested RAL 9002. Not sure on wet dash render colour, off white/light grey. Any thoughts? We’ll be adding a side/rear extension too which will have a smooth render finish.
