What window treatment style, fabric material and color should I choose for the wall where the 3 sets of french doors are?
I couldn't back up far enough to take one photo of the entire wall where the 3 sets of french doors are, so if it's not a problem you'll have to look at the entire wall in 2 separate photos.
I think a light colored woven wood Roman shade and then is you want more oomph, add floor to ceiling side panels in the living area but not the kithen. Love your home; welcoming!
Susan, I like the woven wood Roman shade ideal and adding side panels to frame and/or unify the many pieces in the room. However when it comes to the panels, how would you deal with the set of French doors that meet right up against the bookshelves in the corner?
Susan, I really like your idea of woven wood shades. To be clear, you don't think I should add the shades over the kitchen doors. What's your thought about adding panels to the shades to bring in the room as the other designer suggested. Btw, there's a 70"x70" modern art piece across the room from the doors. That said, do you still think woven wood shades will work? Here's the oil painting....
I see something simple but elegant here. I would recommend a Hunter Douglas Silhouette in a color that closely matches the trim. Motorized with no cords. Keep the light, clean and open look the room exudes. Don't clutter it with woven woods.
Dear Nob Hill Design, Wow! Thank you for your advice, I'm comfortable ordering silhouettes as they relate closely to the 4.5" Plantation Shutters that are throughout the home, which by the way are the color of the trim. Any advice for the dining room windows are welcomed. Add panels for elegance, idk....? See picture below of dining room with Plantations. Question: Should I order Silhouettes for the french doors in the kitchen? As you can see by the picture below it shares the same space.
