Hello Houzz Ireland, We are currently renovating a 1960's build - so as you know, there is a lot of decisions to be made!! So it would be nice to get some gems of advice from the experts to help us through this daunting task. Areas where we would really like some inspiration for - small bathroom downstairs. I would really like to do something fun with this room and although small, I think it could work really well with some funky wallpaper or possibly tiles?! I'm just not sure what to do with it. Also - pulling a whole house together?! Where do we start? We have the bigger pieces of furniture but how do I know what nest of tables goes best with a suite? Or what accessories will bring a room together? I'm due a second baby in 2 weeks time so any help at this stage would be so amazing - to guide me on the right interior design path for our new house. Hi All, I've recently purchased a new home and am trying to work out best way to maximise space in the kitchen/dining/living area. The image shows room size/shape. Kitchen layout in left section is flexible. More than likely L shaped along outside wall and across window. Would like the larger area to the right to become a dining / living space if possible, as the room is quiet bright. What style layout would suit this? Is it too much for this space? Only two of us in the house but want it suitable for entertaining family and friends. All thoughts and suggestions welcome. Many thanks M

Hi all, We are in the process of renovating a 1980's two storey house. I'm looking at the large living room at the moment, the chimney breast has been blocked and we plan to break it back out and add a stove. See pictures of the room as is below: Room Size: The chimney breast is very wide and quite shallow so I am not sure how best to finish it without the stove looking lost.... We will be putting down new white skirting and architraves. Going with dark walnut wood flooring. Some styles we've been looking at: Any thoughts what would work here?
