Am doing a renovation and extension to kitchen. Debating whether to use ceramic tiles or natural stone carpet on the floor. Does anyone have experience of the natural stone carpet ? How it wears, how it looks etc. Any info would be appreciate.

I recently bought a house that has a stacked stone wall behind a pellet stove. The wall has half vaulted ceilings and the first five feet is 6 ft wide then it narrows to 42 inches wide, sort of a chimney effect. I don’t think 🤔 can remove the wider bottom without pulling off the good stone and to add stone the eye would see the piecing. I send a picture?im painting the room a Kinda grayge but I still need some thing to distract the eye from the chimney shape. I thought of planking the sides with barn siding . Please any suggestions

Hi, I have a long L shaped hall with the lower part of the L bright but the rest is dark. I am panelling the lower half & I would like to use Portland stone on this. I would like your suggestions for a colour on the top of the panelling that would look rich but not too dark. I have spotlights in the ceiling so gives lovely light to the hall when lighting. Also oak floorboards. Thank you.
