Help with Hallway Entry Tile

So, we're about to finish up our kitchen remodel. That has been an exciting adventure that has taken over a year. I brought home so many time samples for the floor for my husband's approval. We finally settled on the floor in the picture. I absolutely love it, and I think he does, too. He recommended installing it in the entry. I was thinking marble. I do love this tile. I need suggestions. Would the kitchen tile look ok? I wouldn't have to change the paint as it already matches.

The more I think about it, the more I like the idea. I played around with a herringbone design when I was trying to decide how to lay the tiles in the kitchen. Since it's such a small area, my husband might agree to it. It creates a lot of waste.

Sorry, we had tornado warnings tonight and I got a little distracted. This is the kitchen floor.

Lighting, a mirror and a reflective floor would help with the lighting. Another clever trick would be to open some the space between wall studs for shallow display niches.

Hi Odette! Have you had any progress with decorating? Hanging a mirror could be good in terms of light reflection and making a space seem bigger than it is. I like your idea with the photographs and horizontal lines - I might add some adjustable spotlights to make a feature out of the photographs! For e.g.

That's a great tile, and it's always nice to have your rooms coordinate with each other. Once you've re-tiled, and don't need to cover up the floor, you can move your larger rug to the front door, turn it the other direction, and eliminate the small one.

Hi Debbie. I read your whole kitchen thread last night-what an adventure! I love your tile and would put it into the front entry as well. I agree with calidesign that consistency is best.

That's a pretty tile in your kitchen and yes I would install it in the entry, maybe lay it in a different direction or create a pattern to give it its own personality.
