Stairs

I'm refurbishing my flat and I would like to know what's the best way of confirming if floating stairs can be fitted into my space; the stairs will lead up to the loft conversion?

It would be hard for me to comment on this with out seeing the space or know the structure around the stairs for support. Floating structural stairs need to be engineered to take the load an weight.

So we need to decide on a staircase for our teeny hall in our new build-hubbie thinks it’ll be crazy money and we should just do a traditional one.. walls are up… architect says I should have stayed that earlier as it needed to be built into the walls….

Under stairs space

Hi all. Looking for advice on using this space under our stairs. Have seen many lovely reading nooks/ bench ideas but our problem is there is no ‘end wall’ to join a bench on to as there is a door into the kitchen area. Think it would look strange to come out of the kitchen and have a low bench area protruding out but maybe it wouldn’t 🤷🏻‍♀️ Have a console table on the other side of the hall so reluctant to put anything like that in the space. Any suggestions much appreciated!

Thanks for your reply and examples. I'll be changing the pendant light. It's not to my taste. I'm considering a beige colour on the panelling now and a off white on the walls. I'd love to change the carpet on the start to an oatmeal neutral colour but with a strong border. I'll paint the stair spindles white but not sure what to do with the banisters. I'll like a strong colour but not sure what would look best. Any thoughts?
