Comments (6)My light casts it's frame shadow, but it's not that noticeable because it's way up high (see pic) mine is in a double floor height ceiling. I think if the pendant was lower, then shadows would be more prominent. Also, my light isn't as busy, so the shadows are less. Overall, my take is the busier the pendant and lower the height, you'll see more shadows. (don't mind the paint job, still in reno)...See MoreDark Kitchen - Light Floor - Advice Needed :)

We plan to upgrade and change colours, get a quartz countertop etc. We had our heart set on a light grey wood style floor. but my question is around what type of floor. We originally thought laminate throughout the whole downstairs, but then were put off as people were saying it was a bad idea for kitchens. Then we started thinking of wood effect tiling, but the idea of dirty grout kinda sways me away from that.
