Need help

Hi I need help wht my colour scheme its driving me crazy, I've painted my living room with Tilbury teal and a soft green, and it's driving me crazy what colour to paint my hallway, as I hav a long narrow hallway I'm not sure if the same colour will make it smaller . Plzzz can u help with some suggestions

if you like the soft green in the living room you could maybe consider it for the hall.

For softness you could try a grey or taupe colour. If you want a real contrast, a yellow might do the trick. A soft purple/ plum might also work.

I think the only place you could put a tv is probably the corner by the window...over the fireplace is probably too high. a walnut floor and new fresher paint colour would be lovely, would you consider painting the skirting boards and fireplace white or off white to modernise them a bit? we've painted the skirting in our living room (also a walnut floor) and it looks so much better than before. (Have yet to get around to the rest of the house!!)

Hi we need major curb appeal help! We are able to change the siding, we can paint and change the eaves or gutters, the windows have to stay in place but we can change the style or add grills etc... The roof stays (Timberlane Shakewood color) and our door is going to be moved. We purchased a 6 lite craftsman door. It will go where there is an existing window and will face the driveway and street. We do a lot of gardening so we were thinking of a cottage or bungalow look. We like the look of cedar shake siding and we also think a pergola in the front would help break up the space but would love any drawings or advice to help us visualize a changed look.

Hi Odette! Have you had any progress with decorating? Hanging a mirror could be good in terms of light reflection and making a space seem bigger than it is. I like your idea with the photographs and horizontal lines - I might add some adjustable spotlights to make a feature out of the photographs! For e.g.

I think something like these tiles from Tile Style (http://tilestyle.ie/all-tiles/tiles/alchimia.html) could look really fresh or perhaps the herringbone tiles? Not sure where you can source these though but I love them. Good Luck!

Have you considered a shade of grey? I think something between pale and mid grey would be lovely with the dark floor and the white trim. It would compliment the rooms without trying to match them. You've gone for really beautiful strong and definite colours in both rooms (which I love) so I'd keep the hall a little more neutral as a backdrop to the green and teal.
