Thank you, it's an amazing house! Regarding your question Faisal I don't have any further information on floorplans etc, my job was simply to photograph it for the owner.

Hello Mary, If it's an old fashioned style then I say show it off! People pay a lot for these... I would choose mirrors that have an antique feel if this is the feel of the house... Even ultra modern styled homes have period fittings and they work beautifully.. If the hall is small then perhaps you want to think of something that might continue down the hall... so maybe you buy a couple and space them accordingly... Choose something that has good dimensions according to the height of the hall... This will also throw light into it and give it a feeling of space... So the mirrors can be functional as well as aesthetically pleasing.. : ))

Morning You say that privacy isn't an issue so I would dress the main window and the small window on the left hand wall with roman blinds. I would mount the blinds outside of the recess t make more of a feature and not steal any of the light. Regarding the two narrow windows I would leave them undressed and get two matching vases, ornaments etc and place them on the window sill to make a feature. I think that blinds would be too fussy and would detract from the rest of the room. If you wanted privacy you could always add some frosting to the two narrow windows The furniture you've chosen is beautiful I'm sure it will look fab! I am back again. I decided against the tile originally proposed as the advice here was totally right, the tile had a strong pink/salmon tone. Thanks so much to everyone. I have been searching again and attached is what I am now thinking of going for. I think this tile is very neutral, should match a lot of colours, is warm and easy to keep. It should also match a modern kitchen. Opinions please!!!
